Manos Campesinas is an umbrella organization that works with 8 grassroots organizations of four different geographic departments: San Marcos, Quetzaltenango, Retalhuleu and Sololá. Overall, Manos Campesinas represents 1,073 individual members, all of them small coffee producers.

The main goal of the organization is the commercialization of the product of its members, preferably through the exportation to the international market. Manos Campesinas is registered in the FLO-International Coffee Register so we can export our coffee under the conditions of the Fair Trade market.

The organization was founded in 1997 and of the 1997/1998 crop we exported one container of coffee. Through time we improved our service and expanded our business, increasing our export volume to 16 containers during the 2002/2003 harvest. All the coffee we export is done under Fair Trade conditions. Our main markets are the US, the Netherlands, and Germany.
